Currently, four clinical randomized comparative studies with ActiMaris products are ongoing:

  1. Bioflush – Removal of intestinal biofilms to reduce IBS symptoms, an exploratory randomized, controlled, observer-subject-blinded study.
(ActiMaris SENSITIVE wound irrigation solution vs. Placebo)
  2. Comparative study of two local therapy concepts
(ActiMaris SENSITIVE wound irrigation solution and ActiMaris woundgel vs. Microdacyn wound irrigation solution and Microdacyn Gel)
  3. Utilizzo di antisettici per il trattamento della gengivite in età pediatrica.
    (ActiMaris FORTE vs. clorexidina 0.12%)
  4. ActiMaris effectiveness in the evaluation of the ability of sodium hypochlorite solution in bacterial eradication from conteminated cancellus bone.
Preliminary results show a dramatical reduction in bacterial growth on culture bases, even for the short period of contact between ActiMaris FORTE wound irrigation solution and cancellous bone (with an almost complete absence of growth after 4 minutes.)
  5. John Hopkins Evidence-Based Practice Model for Nursing and Healthgare Professionals.
What is the best practice in improving the healing process of wound among ICU adults and geriatric patients?
Decubitus / Pressure injury therapy concept with ActiMaris products at the geriatric clinic.
Emirates Health Services (EHS Dubai) / EBP team. Maitha Ebrahim / Dr. Rania & Ms. Hanane Egli (ActiMaris representative) Goal comletion date: 2nd to 3rd Quarter 2023
