The survey in the practice of designated wound specialists in qualified wound care facilities2, led to the first such data within this specialist group (n = 50). Only specialists from Austria, Germany and Switzerland, who have been treating wound patients on a daily basis for years, were interviewed. Their wealth of experience in regular use on wound patients makes their statements particularly valuable. There was no obligation to answer, but only that should be evaluated, which can be safely named from practice.
